Don't you know there's an election on?

There's going to be an election in Britain in three and a half week's time. Guardian coverage recommended (or Grauniad, for those who can remember the 1980s profo-reading standards ...)

The residency requirements if you're a citizen are not that strict -- I should have stayed a little longer last year and registered.

Luckily the next three weeks are full of academic and personal deadlines, so I won't have the time to spend following yet another election I cannot vote in!

For anyone wanting maps and stats and such-like, the BBC web pages are great too: http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk_politics/vote_2005/default.stm

Although I don't think I've really got the hang of the swingometer yet.

The Guardian's proof reading is still pretty abysmal, it's just all the other papers have let their standards slip, so it's less noticeable.
