Description
IND95US provides a consistent classification of industry across U.S. samples. Industry describes the type of goods or services produced by the place in which a person worked.
Comparability - General
IND95US recodes information contained in the variable IND into the 1950 U.S. Census Bureau industrial classification system. It is designed to enhance the comparability of industry data across all U.S. samples.
